Los Angeles, on the Pacific coast in California, is a famous vacation spot and the second largest city in the United States after New York. Los Angeles is a city surrounded by nearby California cities, including Pasadena, Long Beach, San Pedro, Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Century City, Westside, Anaheim, Buena Park, Burbank, and Culver City. My suggestion for planning your fun vacation in Los Angeles is to select the activities and attractions you can't bear to miss. Each attraction has its own website, where you can get specific directions with up-to-date hours of operation and admission details.

With its mild climate, the sea and the daily sunshine, Los Angeles is the perfect vacation destination. Weather is pleasant all year round, thanks to the mountain barriers on the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. At this vacation spot, the peak season for tourists is July through September. To get around, make use of the modern clean safe subway, and buses and light-rail trains.

Movies and entertainment are the business of Los Angeles. Many movies are shot on location around the city. Keep your eyes peeled for stars and celebrities out and about town. If the paparazzi are hanging around, a celebrity can't be far away. Here are the famous tourist attractions and vacation spots in Los Angeles.
